Birmingham’s First Organic Butchers
Rossiters Organic Butchers is owned and run by Steve Rossiter, a master butcher for over 25 years and in the trade for over 30 years.
We provide high quality, locally produced organic and free range meat from our base in Bournville, South Birmingham. Rossiters have been serving the community of Bournville and the surrounding areas for over 25 years, but there has been a butchery business in the premises since at least the 1920s.
Rossiters Organic Butchers is the first and only butchers in Birmingham registered as organic with the Soil Association, providing high quality organic meat since 1999.
Rossiters Organic Butchers sources high quality whole animals from free range and organic farms in Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, and Worcestershire.
We offer fine cuts of:
- a host of fresh fish direct from Birmingham wholesale markets every Friday, including excellent organic Orkney salmon
We offer several varieties of homemade sausages, including our famous pork sausage, made with organically sourced pork, and our Merguez sausage. We make organic lamb and beef burgers, as well as some home cured meats. All our meat is cut to order on site, freshly prepared by our talented butchery staff. We also offer a range of pork pies, black pudding, cooked hams, and the legendary Lashford’s sausages
We offer a friendly and personal service, and will even deliver locally if so required.
We work closely with other specialist food businesses in Birmingham, such as Leverton and Halls Deli and Coffee House opposite the shop, and Loaf Community Bakery and Cookery School
We’ve become an important part of the community locally and try to do our bit for charity too, including raising money for Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, the Mary Stevens Hospice, Waldsgrave Hospital Oncology Unit, and even doing a charity sky dive for Queen Alexandra College.
